The "Blooming Roses" Project has been introduced as a means of bringing our clients back into the workforce and offer them the opportunity to advance their knowledge and certification in selected fields. Select Cincinnati companies are being recruited as core partners to build the project into the future. Women with substance abuse issues have experienced extreme difficulties in re-entering the work force. Many times their past histories will eliminate them from jobs that they have either held in the past or are qualified to perform today. The result of this roadblock is an increased relapse rates, a return to a non-productive life and in some cases, reintroduction into the Justice System.

This project will place women back in the workforce regardless of their pasts and will create a pool of funds that will be used to expand our vocational education programs and provide scholarships to clients that wish to advance their educations. First Step Home, Inc. and Cincinnati Concessions and Catering have partnered to create jobs and vocational assistance to our clients who wish to work in the food service industry.
